Finn's Big Ride
My little boy is now a big boy. Yesterday at his friend Tanner's he chose to ride a bike without training wheels. I wasn't even there. Katrina asked him if he normally rode his bike with training wheels, he answered "Yes, but I'm not in the mood for those today." And off he went. He's so proud of himself, it's cute.
On the needles, the other night at Sit and Stitch I bought some sock yarn. It is so pretty, it's fibernatura Yummy 100% superwash. Lovely varigated green colorway. I'm working on one of the Charlene Schurch cable patterns and using the magic loop method for the first time(I really love it). I've also casted on the Cocoon lace scarf for my Malabrigo lace, and I'm finally finishing Lulu's felted ballerina slippers.
The funniest thing happened the other night at Middleford, I was just there for some help with the felted slippers and I got suckered into modeling for Joan McGowan Michael, the author of "Lingere Style". The pieces I'll be modeling are NOT lingerie, thank goodness, but a gorgeous vintage, romantic suit, and a sweater. If I can get some pics I'll post them. I love the fitted feel of her patterns, I bought one that night, called Krista. Actually I just found her website, it's http://whiteliesdesigns.com And the name of the pieces I'm modeling are Evangeline (so beautiful), and the Julianne 2 piece dress. TTFN, have to get ready for my big intro into modeling hee hee.
